Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose
QNSQY provides quantum-resistant encryption software designed for legitimate security purposes. This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines the boundaries of permitted and prohibited use of the Software and associated services. By using QNSQY, you agree to comply with this policy.
2. Permitted Uses
You are encouraged to use QNSQY for the following purposes:
- Protecting sensitive files, documents, and communications with post-quantum encryption
- Encrypting data for healthcare, financial, legal, government, and high-assurance workflows. Note: QNSQY is not FIPS-validated or SOC 2-certified, and does not sign HIPAA Business Associate Agreements. Control-mapping documentation is available on request for Business-tier customers to support their own audit.
- Research and education in post-quantum cryptography
- Business continuity planning and regulatory compliance
- Securing organizational data against current and future quantum computing threats
3. Prohibited Uses
The following activities are strictly prohibited:
- Encrypting data to facilitate, conceal, or further any illegal activity
- Circumventing lawful access orders. Note: QNSQY operates on a zero-knowledge architecture and cannot access your encrypted data, passwords, or keys under any circumstances.
- Distributing malware, ransomware, or any malicious software using QNSQY as a component
- Attempting to reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or exploit the Software or its cryptographic implementations
- Using the service to harass, threaten, stalk, or harm any individual or organization
- Reselling, sublicensing, or redistributing access to QNSQY without prior written authorization
- Automated scraping, crawling, or abuse of the QNSQY API beyond published rate limits
- Intentionally overloading or disrupting QNSQY infrastructure or services
4. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your API key. Do not share your API key with unauthorized parties. If you believe your API key has been compromised, rotate it immediately via your dashboard.
Shared accounts are prohibited. Each user must have their own individual account. Organizations using the Business tier must provision separate accounts for each team member.
You must not share, transfer, or sell your subscription credentials. Subscription access is bound to the account holder and the machine key associated with your device.
5. Enforcement
Violations of this Acceptable Use Policy may result in immediate account suspension or permanent termination at QNSQY's sole discretion.
QNSQY reserves the right to report suspected illegal activity to the appropriate law enforcement authorities and to cooperate with lawful investigations.
No refunds will be issued for accounts terminated due to AUP violations. Any remaining subscription time is forfeited upon termination for cause.
6. Export Compliance
QNSQY contains cryptographic functionality that may be subject to export controls and trade sanctions. You are solely responsible for complying with all applicable export control laws and regulations in your jurisdiction, including but not limited to the U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and applicable EU regulations.
Certain jurisdictions may restrict the import, export, or use of cryptographic software. It is your responsibility to verify that your use of QNSQY complies with local laws before downloading or deploying the Software.
7. Changes to This Policy
QNSQY may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users or posted on our website. Continued use of the Software after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
